In the middle of very rural red Missouri, we had a great showing of Democrats supporting blue candidates from the top down for every position, even down to our local county administrator. I am fired up and proud to see folks so energized and motivated to speak out, stand up, and turn out to vote.

I want to do the things today, but nap has other plans for me.

Next week we take them the two big sets of good china, some furniture, and the big tv from the living room if possible. Basically, anything we can move ourselves. /2

Today we took the 3d tv, 3d dvd player, a bag full of 3d glasses, and a bag of 3d DVDs to the auction house, along with the older big iMac. We already took all the Tiffany lamps, two bedside tables, a lamp dad made, and a few other odds and ends that might be worth something. Last week we gave them dad’s guitar, mom’s ukulele, and electric keyboard, a set of china, and all those taxidermied ducks. /1
