This is called quid pro quo. It is the basis of corruption โ get them in your pocket early. He doesnโt HAVE to have business with the court for it to be corruption.

@TheNewsOwl What a load of crap. I was on a county water board for our rural community of 15 houses (had to report water quality and stuff).
It was very clear from the annual form I had to submit that ANY gifts (over like $100) from ANYONE were report-able.
I can't imagine the requirements for one of the most powerful government officials is less restrictive.
