When I was in high school, I worked at a video game store, where I began the time-honored holiday tradition of staring at the cover art for the game based on the Jim Carrey Grinch movie and muttering, "What the fuck...?"
Me discovering that paint is falling off the hood of my car mere months after having another area of the vehicle repainted due to that very same issue.
From 2018. I thought this contained a solid pun, but since no one I sent it to got the joke, I opted to explicitly spell it out.
If the Ghost of Christmas Past takes me back to the year I got Bubsy 3D instead of Crash Bandicoot, would that not be a justification for my lack of humanity instead of a repudiation of it?
I recently discovered that a friend of mine is lukewarm on The Wire, which seems like a suitable excuse to re-up this one.
(Incidentally, this comic is 1% joke, 99% my actual thoughts on The Wire.)
