Just watched The Penguin finale.
Holy shit. I have not seen TV this good since Andor.
@danialexis I loved it. Glad I gave it a shot despite having a pretty low opinion of the movie that spawned it.
@TheCard The only thing I really liked about the movie was the cinematography. The way a lot of those scenes painted with light was *chef's kiss*
But yeah, I could have done without the plot honestly

@danialexis I agree that it was beautifully shot. Tonally, I thought it was so grimdark that it almost seemed like a parody of a super-angsty, self-serious Batman movie.
@TheCard Casting Robert Pattinson really upped the parody feel too, imo.
