I was a huge proponent of cartoon characters remaining the same age in perpetuity before discovering that Homer Simpson and I now share the birth year 1984.
@TheCard When the series first aired, his birth year was ca. 1956 (as he and Marge finished high school in 1974). Good lord. 😆

@danialexis I think Abe is still supposed to be a WW2 vet, which is becoming less and less feasible.
@danialexis Skinner would have to be the first Gulf war - or possibly even the second! And instead of a ‘60s radical, Mona would have to be… an early ‘90s radical?
