Silly Question
If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is it still a turtle or just a really slow lizard?
A turtle's shell is a vital organ. It can't take it off like in a cartoon and change into pajamas or something.
A turtle without its shell is a dead turtle.

I think I meant to end that comment with the image of a turtle taking off it’s shell and putting on PJs, but it inadvertently went a bit dark at the end there…
