From Project 2025’s “mandate for change” regarding the DOJ. The FBI would be stripped of all its independence and internal oversight and independent voice (no internal lawyers or external affairs office…).

This would be done via restructuring so the FBI doesn’t answer to the Attorney General (who should show independence from POTUS) and placing it under the “relevant assistant AG” for various matters.
