Yep, they began to rewrite the reality of that day and either deny or lie about it or later on via Trump, realize the way forward was to be self-righteous and mythologize it as the opening salvo in some epic struggle they cannot lose and if they are to win this November, not only will everyone who took part in the barbaric violence, murder, and destruction be pardoned en masse by Trump, they'll be honored and turned into his "brown-shirts" and given leeway to terrorize the "libs"
