MESHUGGAH -
Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion
(OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
I...do not approve of this song.
Lol
the drummer just bashing out those quarter notes regardless of the lunacy occurring with the other three limbs is completely baffling to me....always will be
I never get tired of watching him play this song.
MESHUGGAH - Clockworks
(DRUM PLAYTHROUGH w/ TOMAS HAAKE)
I love how when they finally break into a few bars of 7 it sounds like 4/4 by comparison to the insantiy preceeding it
Exactly! The curve is steep, but my God, once you're inside the sound and the timing (as much as you can be..some of it is just like algorithmic and requires a lot of focus), it's pretty amazing and yeah, things begin to normalize.
I remember when I first heard some of their songs they struck me as the sound of superhuman alien insects...
a friend gave me Destroy Erase Improve as a birthday present many moons ago...it def took me some time to "get into" it, but jeez they are next level
Yes! I think THAT'S the record that opened up the later music for me!!
I''d heard Koloss and ObZen first and I confess, I was a bit (a LOT) at a loss...
DEI and Chaosphere both were especially instrumental in seeing what they where they were coming from and building upon.
It completely opened up the late material for me. Love BOTH of those recs. Destroy Erase Improve is just unreal those first 5 songs up to Vanished is groundbreaking and simply perfect to my ears.
