@voltronic Everything about Apple is proprietary, even their users. In my opinion.

I don't know if it's fair to call people "proprietary" but I get your point. Apple's walled garden has several benefits for the company, including making it easy to lock in customers for the long haul. It's quite brilliant from a marketing standpoint.

@voltronic it really is. It was my understanding that it was their iPod marketing that turned the tides for the company, but my experience with Apple and iTunes was that I was just renting from them. I totally get its appeal to the less savvy but if nothing else I'll maintain that they're disgustingly overpriced.
