@TheAbbotTrithemius And people fall for it. When the true answer you can find in minutes on the internet, from reputable sources. Or, by taking the time to go to the library and picking up a fucking book and reading like 3 pages.
@TheAbbotTrithemius I'm from the last generation in Canada who learned the history of WWII. We had thousands of veterans who could and would tell their stories. We venerated them, we cherished them. Now, they are becoming forgotten. Along with the truth of it all.
That's a shame...that experience needs to be kept alive.
@TheAbbotTrithemius At places where I worked as a manager I would often quiz the younger staff on history. I would give them dates like Dec. 7th, 1941 or June 6th, 1944. 85-90% of them didn't have a clue.
