Do we really have political representation of the people any longer?

@Tacitus_Kilgore I'm going to go with a solid "no" for that in several countries.

@FrankCannon I don't know which is more depressing. The fact that it has come to this or the fact that we let it come to this. We've been advertised, infomercialed, preached to and bamboozled into believing that things will take care of themselves or that there is a product, service or other invention that takes care of things for you. We haven't used our "freed up time and energy" to improve ourselves, we used it to become apathetic. Then when chaos breaks out we just can't figure out why.

@Tacitus_Kilgore 100%.We also,in many cases,allowed ourselves to be sucked into arguments with "people" on the internet whose sole intent is to keep us at eachother's throats and diverted from doing something actually constructive.

@Tacitus_Kilgore

Depends on who's representing you. When we lived in Chicago, we felt well represented. When we lived on the farm, we felt invisible to TPTB. Now in our little exurban city, we feel good about it again.

@BrazenlyLiberal That may be true but it all goes away when tyranny goes unchecked and is allowed to rule.
