@n8evans Because many of the polls (especially those from "media" organizations) have a vested interest in portraying the race as "close." If they actually engaged in equitable coverage, their results would likely be very different.
@Museek We’re taking the train down there in a few weeks for a mini-vacation. Going to stay in Monterey and walk around a bit - I’m thinking it’s a good time to read Cannery Row. Can’t remember if I ever read it after Grapes of Wrath or not.

@th3j35t3r ...when you hafta give a speech, but all you can think about is bangers and mash...
@Treebugz For me, sick days aren’t just for when I’m feeling unwell. They’re also for my mental health & well-being. I wouldn’t feel comfortable using them for a vacation either, but a short break to step away and re-center myself would pass my filter. Perhaps that would help?
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN Does driving the cart count?
Alternatively, does riding on the cart while sipping margaritas and shouting encouragement count?
If so, I could do it! 😂
@GNious Good way to maintain positivity, and g'luck on your future applications!
For awareness, many organizations don't allow their recruiters to provide specific feedback to candidates, and say the policy is for liability reasons.
However, if you phrase your request to be more ambiguous, sometimes you'll get some great tips. Something like thanking them for their help throughout the process, coupled with a line like "for roles similar to this, what do you look for in the ideal candidate?"
@LaurelGreen Most likely.
The splat at almost the same time was from a different user, and was a rather blatant catfishing type of toot.
@FurloughedAgain The bit that had be flipping back to MSNBC, was when their “Senior Political Correspondent” said with a straight face that Kamala Harris said next question during her interview a couple weeks ago, because she was “saving” comments about Trump’s racism for tonight, mainly because Trump was making strong inroads with black men.
@37710TT_773W35 @Vikky Just saw the snap count data: Apparently JSN was in for 79% of the offensive snaps, and Bobo was in for 30% (plus 76% of special teams snaps).
I'm guessing with the horrid OL play, Geno didn't have time to get further than the 1st or 2nd read on any passing down.
@37710TT_773W35 @Vikky Speaking of stepping up... where the heck were JSN and Bobo yesterday?
Public service announcement: If your business is buying "known good" email addresses from a data broker... you may want to ask how they are verifying their data.
When I start getting spam from well known entities (I'm looking at you Variety magazine) that I've never signed up for, and it starts coming shortly after a data breach notification... I've got a pretty good feeling that you've just supported that elements involved with said breach.
@Vikky Yep. Especially if your significant other is a Denver fan. Oh well, at least we're not in the same division anymore, like we were when we got married. :P
@TheresaVermont old enough that my high school typing class used…
IBM Selectric Typewriters. Does that count? 😉
Johnson ‘100 percent’ convinced GOP will win both chambers of Congress, White House
The speaker spoke on a private House GOP conference call, during which former President Donald Trump’s campaign aides also briefed members on the state of the race.

@BenA What's going to make them really, really annoying, is when it gets to the next level - combining info from multiple breaches with images scraped from social media and run through an AI to generate "proof" you were being a naughty boi/gurl.
I like alternative/hard rock & just about anything except country. Interested in books & gaming.
