Don’t feel like driving to Salinas today but I guess I better get on with it.

Salinas is where John Steinbeck was from. Sammy Hagar, too. It’s in Monterey county but inland a little ways. It’s got lots of inexpensive shopping so that’s why I’m going. I don’t like to shop but when I need to I don’t want to pay $$$ so Salinas, it is.

Hope you all have a lovely Saturday. Thinking of everyone on the eastern seaboard dealing with the aftermath of the storms. Hope our peeps over there are OK

@Museek We’re taking the train down there in a few weeks for a mini-vacation. Going to stay in Monterey and walk around a bit - I’m thinking it’s a good time to read Cannery Row. Can’t remember if I ever read it after Grapes of Wrath or not.

@Synical nice.. I love Monterey and Cannery Row has lots of great restaurants and things to see. The abalone is 🤤 and the otters and dolphins are fun. Have a wonderful time!
