@process They're right-leaning centrists now,Roger and have been for quite some time.There's no cash to be made from alleviating poverty or solving many of the social issues we have.But there's a big payday ahead for whichever party is installed to see the dismantling of the NHS and the implementation of a US style insurance based health service.

My opinion of (primarily American) politicians in general, is that they are by-and-large not interested in improving things for the people / country. Rather, they are focused on maintaining or gaining a grip on the levers of power as part of a ruling caste, because "they know what the countries / populations needs are better than the people." Ex: the insurance system big corporations want.
@Synical They've little to no interest in the people but are very happy to roll over for money,no matter the source.Like I said,the best we can hope for are crumbs from the table to appease us a little and keep us voting.Most major problems are kept simmering away because they suit a purpose,to keep people divided. @process
