#bacon I like to make foods that I consider a "treat" for the holidays. One of those treats is bacon. Not just any bacon. I go to my local butcher and get Black Forest Bacon. It's both sinfully good, and sinfully expensive. I lay it out on a cookie sheet and put it in a pre-heated 300 degree oven for thirty minutes. Melts in your mouth!
@BlueVoter24 Sounds Fabulous! I prepare a standing rib roast, with Yorkshire pudding. I wish you were closer, so I could make you some of my grandmother Mary's cinnamon rolls. She used mashed potatoes as a binder. They are fabulous! It's nice to have traditions for the holidays!
@BlueVoter24 The Yorksire pudding is a savory souffle. U I was going to try making individual ones in popover tins, but have to do a test run, first. The secret to popovers, is greasing the sides of the tube, then putting something granular over the fat, to give the popover something to grab, while it's building height.
