And then he could mop up by releasing his tax returns.
If the report says what Trump says it does, if his returns show what he claims they do, then he'd defang his opposition in one stroke, no one would ever believe them ever again. Trump would clinch his reelection.
Why would anyone in Trump's position waste such a magic bullet?
