One thing that is blowing my mind right now, do Americans really pronounce "Helene" as "Huh-Leen" and not as "Huh-Lane"?

@Tee_Lynn I'm in Canada so this might be one of those examples where we just pronounce it differently depending on which side of the border we're on.

@Tee_Lynn I think so, i'm in Quebec where Helene is a popular French name. In French, it sounds like "Heh-len" which is why "I think" we pronounce it English with more of a "lane" then a "leen" at the end.
