I tried to add four hours of the full Sword of Orion to the stack from the other night. But I couldn't really get them to play nicely with each other, so I'm presenting two versions: six hours of total exposure and just the ones from last night, hopefully in that order. #Astronomy #Astrophotography
@catherineryanhyde Do you also sometimes stare at Betelgeuse and secretly hope it's going to explode before your eyes?
@catherineryanhyde I know right. It could exploded 29,000 years ago and we still wouldn't know in our lifetime.
@Stevo Also, as far as all that press that it was just about to blow, it turned out it was dimming due to dust in front of it. But you're right--all kinds of stuff could have happened for all we know.
