If you ever notice cowardice on the part of rich people, who supposedly have so much wealth and power, remember they depend on The System. It's a balancing act, not some inherent trait they have.
And they don't want to shake up the balancing act of contact, money, position, privilege, connections, politics, debts, etc.
@peeppeepcircus and they, for all their supposed power, don't want to risk it.
@StevenSavage many don’t know how to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps either, they’re terrified.
@StevenSavage There are quite a few very wealthy people who believe we are headed towards a major societal collapse, and that the rest of us may want to tear them into tiny pieces and perhaps eat the pieces.
They've been asking experts, including some acquaintances of mine, how to keep their guards from killing them after there is no money any more. One asked an oceanographer(!) I spoke to about exploding collars.
I wish I was making this shit up.
@AskTheDevil oh heard of this many times. Note none of them are trying to prevent anycollapse and have fallen into sci-fi fantasies.
And they show real ignorance of how societies work.
@StevenSavage
Excellent point.
Who benefits? From the status quo, or from certain policies….
