I think Season 2, and especially Hegenomy showcase how un battle tested Pike is. He was forced to sit out the Klingon War, and now he doesn't know what to do in a major conflict like was set up in the finale.

I figured out my issue with this week's #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds:
Uhura, like Spock, Pike, M'Benga, Chapel, & Sam will always be okay. There's no actual risk. This is why I say SNW plays it too safe. #Spoiler, I guess, if a character surviving a prequel is a spoiler.

The was certainly an episode of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds
I'll have to rewatch it before I'm certain of how I feel about it

After countless rewatches it's dawned on me that it's a Bajoran station. Why doesn't it have a Bajoran name? Starfleet & the Federation are only there(at the start) to help with administration duties. It feels awfully colonialistic.
