Yea, things are getting wonky and I don't like where things are going or what I've been noticing. Lots of companies have been sliding to the far right lately.
@ExecutiveFunction404 Tiktok is definitely skewed to the GOP right wing side. Now the GOP is coming for Tiktok to ban it, and we all know it's because they can't control the narrative on it. We are mobilizing, GenZ is using it to organize, people are fighting for unionization with it, etc. You have the ability to post a video and reach millions, they don't like that.

They allow the trump taint sniffers to mass report vids, but I can report a trumper for literal threats against the POTUS and they won't remove them or the post.

I'm not on there, so I didn't know they skew to the right. That's surprising, considering the GQP hard on for the CCP and communism. Oh shit..no it's not 🤦♀️ wow, that was an interesting wrap around thought. China wants the US to be under authoritarianism. So it would make sense that they're skewing to the right. They may not get their data, but their "dreaded" democracy will die.

Knowing that the NYYRC hosted, two days after the arrests, the same far right group that staged the coup in Germany is extremely disturbing. The splc article about their event is terrifying (2nd ss is from a NYT article about the coup).

Oh geez...when I lived in TX, there were a few tornadoes, but they didn't come close to me, though the tornado warnings were blaring. And that was scary enough. Where I am now, we had a few very mild ones (EF-0, EF-1).

Let's hope nothing too bad churns up! How is it around you? Did many touch down? I haven't had a chance to connect with the outside world since about 1, so I have no idea what's going on. (I also spoke with a friend who said the smallest, most interior room with no windows is your best bet if you have to ride it out in a non-fixed building. A closet or bathroom that's as central and closed off as possible. Just in case there's a next time.) 💜
@ExecutiveFunction404 it's all moved away from me now. Hitting Alabama and Florida now. Had lots of them on the ground and one in particular was getting mighty close to me. I'm the blue dot in the middle of all that disaster and I put an arrow on the tornado that was on the ground moving past me. I think there are casualties in Louisiana
Wow, it moved right past you. Tornadoes are terrifying, bc there's no warning & no way to prepare, without leaving town every time there's a bad storm. Same with earthquakes. Even though my home was destroyed in hurricane sandy, I still prefer hurricanes, bc we usually have enough time to leave comfortably (when govt does their job right).
I read that there were 3 fatalities & hundreds of injured. And it's expected to rise 😥
@ExecutiveFunction404 Yes, I can see that, because with Hurricane's you literally are told many days in advance and can plan and prepare accordingly. With these damned twisters, I've had them literally start dropping from the sky right in front of me. They can drop down for mere seconds or they can run a path of destruction for miles. There's no way to know.

China still owns tiktok, so I'm questionable about them skewing far right (I forgot we were talking about tiktok, bc it's early and I don't use it lol). I have my own concerns about the site and what is accessible, but I understand what an important app it is for Gen Z and getting messages out. I love your generation ❤️
