- "Researchers had only speculated as to what happened to the missing crabs. Now, a study in the Oct. 20 Science finds that a marine heat wave probably spurred a mass die-off, in part by causing crabs to starve.

“It’s a fishery disaster in the truest sense of the word,” says Cody Szuwalski, a fishery biologist at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Seattle."

@AskTheDevil I agree with you, innocents should not be involved in either side. It's wrong and then that gives the evil folk a cover justification to do more evil. And they'll says it's for the harm to the civilians they supposedly are fighting for and retaliation after retaliation makes a permanent negative feedback loop until that practice changes.

Either side harming innocent people needs to stop. Period

@rpardee Yep. Had one of those a few days ago and deleted immediately

This little bird is a threatened species--pulled back from endangered by efforts to protect its habitat.

In this image, it looks like it will be overtaken by a breaking wave--but these wee birds are speedy and run ahead of the water with seeming ease.

I love to watch them.

Sending this out to you with hopes that you have agility to dodge the waves that might seem overwhelming.

DA Willis makes me proud to be a Georgian. Today is a happy day for me

Sending my oldest love and birthday wishes and hopes for happiness and healthiness

Hi folks, survived a major panic attack today w/unknown trigger but suspect it's macro/global... Ukraine plus new war in Middle East, and I suppose the chaos of the House antics isn't helping.

Here's hoping if you're feeling that way too that you can breathe your way to the other side. We just have to keep telling ourselves that we can get there. Wishing strength, calm and love to all my fellow worry warts out there 💖💪

Sending peacefulness and love to everyone

May your stressors be less and your joys be more

If you want to see a feel good cooking competition series show, I highly recommend Dan Levy's The Big Brunch. It was utterly delightful.

Y'all, I'm so happy I finally got to mow my yard. With the bad air quality, Georgia exploded on me (up to my knees in some places). But now I have my walking spots back 😍

For further context: they are ideas for getting less strident partisan government, include increasing the House (3 reps per district leading to likely 2 D’s and 1 R or vice versa—all groups in a district have a chance at representation) and making all primary type elections completely open instead of party-only caucuses/primaries so candidates have to appeal from the beginning to the general voter population

I really wish these ideas could be implemented. I love them all:

@CindersPDX Thank you, we’re doing everything we’re supposed to, even got the keep you out of the hospital meds too. Hoping maybe it will let us go by this weekend 🙏🤞

So it’s been a week of firsts: first time to Vegas, Cisco Live, speaking at Cisco Live, getting Covid, and now trying Paxlovid.

I successfully avoided Covid for years, was beginning to think I might be immune, but it’s now having its way with me. Fingers crossed the new med works to bring down intensity of the symptoms
