A functional, productive, useful media cannot be unbiased; it has to have a strong and unyielding bias toward the truth and toward the facts.

If the media throw up their hands and say "We can't tell what the facts are, let's just report all sides" what are we supposed to do? Finding out the facts and distinguishing them from spin and optics is their *job.*

A media that is neutral on the truth, that tries to balance out truth with lies, is worse than useless. It is a compromise with Hell.

Trustworthy, foundational news media should absolutely be unbiased and the fact that the mainstream "news" orgs in the US are not unbiased and rife with opinions is one of the major issues with our news ecosystem today.
