Tonight's debate was very, very early for a 1st POTUS debate. They aren't even the official nominees yet!
The Dems agreed to this early of a debate as a trial balloon to see how Biden would do. If it didn't go great, there's still theoretically time to find an alternative in the 45ish days until the convention.
The GOP nominates in about 3 weeks and all signs point to 🍊.
Will the Dems pull off a coup and nominate someone who can take on the bombasity?
