Denver judge says the 14th Amendment argument does not apply to former President Trump as "officers of the United States" did not intend to include the president. She orders the Colorado Secretary of State to place him on next year's primary ballot.

Judge Sarah B. Wallace’s 102-page ruling "found that while Trump “incited an insurrection … and therefore ‘engaged’ in an insurrection,” the 14th Amendment “does not apply to Trump” because he is not an “officer.”"

"“Part of the court’s decision is its reluctance to embrace an interpretation which would disqualify a presidential candidate without a clear, unmistakable indication that such is the intent of Section Three,” she wrote."

@Smersh I wish our legal system allowed judges to fix bugs in the code when they find them.

Follow

@peterquirk as long as they can't push to production without a review.

@Smersh It's not clear that the previous code was reviewed. They should involve judges in the review.
