I see a lot of hate here for CNN not conforming to the left's echo chamber. But they crushed this year's News & Doc Emmy Awards with 45 noms in 62 categories.
They have ❗ 9❗ times the number of noms as MSNBC. And, uh, well for Fox... Turns out, you can't multiply by zero.
BUT it still raises the point: is the TV News Media you're consuming award worthy & respected by peers?
Or does it simply repeat things you agree with?

I don't dislike CNN for not confirming to an echo chamber, I dislike them for going the full on clickbait route.
I seek out independent local media, but that gets scarcer and scarcer.
@misterfive it can be both though. I support a few local and then regional papers/sources but they just can't do the same thing that national media can.
As far as clickbait, that's just the game these days to get ad impressions since pretty much everybody does it. All hail our data obsessed overlords. 😔
Yes, this is true. But it's gotten especially bad at CNN this past year. "This thing occured, and you'll never guess what happened next!" type headlines are rampant even in the actual news section.
