I’m staring at a bottle of apple cider vinegar and wondering if I shouldn’t just do it….
@Siren_six Okay, so straight vinegar is a bad idea. However, if you are fighting kidney stones, there IS something I'd like to recommend trying, but don't do this if you have a sodium intake restriction or limitation in your current diet. When you eat your next meal, prepare a cup of dill pickle juice. It contains vinegar as well as other fluids that help combat and break down kidney stones as well as UTI's. But you only need a cup a meal along with regular water so you don't dry your body out.
@PaganMother Thank you. I don’t have any dietary restrictions (but I probably will be doing what I can to eliminate high oxalate foods from my diet because they make the stones so there’s that). I will look into this 👍
@Siren_six Sure thing, I had to deal with kidney stones without medical care options available a good while back and found the remedy on article a while back. Gave it a shot and I kinda sip on dill juice about once every few months to keep the kidneys clear.
@Siren_six A small amount of apple cider vinegar mixed with apple juice (to help it go down) also helps with gal stones. My mother uses it to help with that, but I'm not sure it's a 1:1.
@Siren_six If you're not 100% sure always consult a doc about it!
@glassramen my manger’s spouses also uses it for kidney stones and apparently it’s a godsend. I also see evidence for that online but it’s anecdotal, lol. I suppose it doesn’t hurt to try.
@Siren_six I doubt drinking a bit of what is essentially just vinegar couldn't hurt, best to drink it in small amounts, and with something else to help it go down (it's going to be foul lol)
Supposedly it’s great for calcium oxalate kidney stones….
