Well i was today years old when i found out i cannot out run the "viking" allegations against me. I found a wonderful drink while in montana and i have come to learn i thoroughly enjoy mead. to the point im googling where to find it when i return home and taking some home with me.
@Graci ive tried all the major brands of beer and i hate the taste of it. juager i can stand cause after a few shots im tipsy and dont care anymore. was recommended a place in Bozeman montana thats a hole in the wall and they had some mead thats 10 proof and damn if it wasnt good.
@Silabus We've enjoyed mead at Ren faires then we learned of a meadery about 40 minutes away. Fell in love with it. Did you have a traditional or was it flavored?
@Graci the one i got was labeled thus "our classic, traditional style sweet mead with honey flavor" looking up just mead im guessing thats the normal type but god damn if a 4 oz glass at 10 proof didnt get me buzzed and feeling good.
@Silabus It is very easy to make your own. I did so successfully one year. The secret is in getting the appropriate yeast. I forgot what I had purchased and next batch wasn't so good.
Anyhow, lots of free how-tos online. I mixed mine and left it in the closet to brew. Took it out about 6 months later, and delicious.
Recommend Costco for honey, btw.

@Silabus No sense in running from it; in fact, lean into it. Just need to get yourself a viking helmet and an animal pelt to wear over your shoulders. It would advise taking up sailing, but maybe stay away from pillaging neighboring towns/cities/countries.
@ProjectShadow pillaging will occur only when necccesary. as for the hat and the pelt im certain some of my friends would get a kick out of it if i streamed on twitch again.
@Silabus That's the spirit! Get a "mead cup" and have it on-screen while streaming.

@Silabus Certainly don't want that, but just add like some paracord or thin rope to the belt loop and wear it cross-body like that.
@ProjectShadow for now when i return home ill just get a sturdy nail and put it within arms reach and away from the tech
