Here's what happens on even what is supposed to be the Safe place on the internet.
A white man calls you dear and offers his services as a therapist because you dared to expound on why Black women said they don't feel safe here.
It isn't surprising.
It's new, though!
Goddamn you fucks.

@Shelter Ah yes. The "you got angry about something bad you saw happening, so clearly you're mental and I'll pretend I want to help when I'm actually being dismissive and shitty" response.

@AskTheDevil

You're lucky I was able to figure out those aged emoticons.
Because I nearly went off.

@Shelter I just found that exchange and it induced such a cringe my organs may have migrated to behind my spine. I've blocked that person, because what the actual fuck was that??? I can't decide if he's a trolling douche or genuinely that self-absorbed, racist, and clueless to genuinely not see what you're upset about :/ Either way, yikes and blocked.

@Nimthiriel

It wasn't just me creeped out?

WTAF was that?

@Shelter No, that was creepy, like they're from another planet or something. Like, 1950s level dismissive of a woman's anger.

@Nimthiriel

It was really fucking weird and I didn't like it.

@Nimthiriel
And people insist on trying to explain to me why my thoughts are disturbing to everyone else.
I don't care.
They should be.

@Shelter I agree with you and your thoughts 100%. If something makes them uncomfortable, they should sit with that discomfort and examine why they feel that way before reacting. Unfortunately, that kind of emotional awareness is very rarely taught.
