I'd like to add this recommendation.

@Minholkin @Shelter how about we use blm as the hashtag already established here or is there a better phrase that could be used to help link allies of African culture here? A
I generally look askance at white people who hashtag BLM and declare themselves allies.
It's often performative without action, and declaring oneself an ally doesn't make one so.
People who are marginalized are who get to say, "That person is an ally."
Thank you @Shelter for responding, I have seen similar things happen regarding people with additional needs/neurodiversity. Certain phrases can be very problematic.
Hi Eleanor, I appreciate your suggestion. I think a different phrase that conveys that this is the work of white folks to understand their privilege and to learn how to dismantle racism.
I think it's helpful to note that more effective language would be to reference the BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) community. <3
@Minholkin I could see how BIPOC it a key part of this, I am very interested to see where this phrasing/hashtag evolution goes from here.
It's getting late this side of the pond and I have breakfast shift tomorrow.
@Mauve_matelot @Minholkin @Shelter May I suggest something like DoTheWork? A call to action, a reference point, a reminder.
@Autumn I like that a *lot* @Mauve_matelot @Minholkin @Shelter
@Shelter
Thank you!
Maybe we should think of a hashtag for future easy access to resources?
