Found this snake sleeping on my tent, over my bed, this morning. Not sure, but I suspect it's a rough green snake, a common, non-venomous species endemic to the southern U.S. It's still there, hours after I first saw it. Its alive - it's moved several times - but seems to be quite happy where it is, for now.

@Shelter Update: I took a moment, on my way to get lunch, to investigate the snek. Turns out it's a juvenile garter snake. 🙂👍

This is the first time a snake of any kind has decided to rest on my tent - at least, that I've ever noticed.
