Switched back to TV from streaming and was scrolling through the guide fairly rapidly saying noooo and then went Wait yes, and scrolled back.
Kid - The Avengers.
Me- No, Star Trek.
Kid goes into a shame spiral due to being wrong. Remember what I said earlier.
I said, "Honey- nothing wrong happened here. You did absolutely nothing wrong. I've been watching #Trek since I was in a high chair in 1974. My eyes SEE it immediately." 1/2
I told him that he was born in 2006 and his eyes are primed to pick out the MCU.
And there's not one thing wrong with that.
I don't know how to express to people who are neurotypical the absolute shame we feel when we're not only incorrect but it's pointed out, no matter how gently.
