For about 15 minutes here I had that #Autistic fear because I didn't understand if someone was being sarcastic or genuine.
It's an absolutely awful sensation.
Shame flares over potentially having screwed up.
Your ears get hot.
Your stomach lurches.
Naturally you fucked up AGAIN.
Well. I'm not doing this anymore.
So I'm going to keep to a narrow number of people from now on.
I'm 52 goddamn years old. It never goes away.
I had to grow an ability to throw sarcasm to survive in my extended family, and I still consider that shitty.
As everyone died I didn't have to do that anymore.
I miss my family, but I don't miss having to be on guard with a reply.
@Shelter my one take on being a "man" is that he says what he means, so there's no misunderstanding.
