Now I'm thinking about my first experience with sleep paralysis.
I was staying with my cousin and her family. Went to sleep. Woke up to find my goddaughter in my door. I said Can't you sleep? Do you want me to read you a story?
She said yes and ran to my bed, jumped on, and disappeared.
I felt around for her.
The closet door opened.
I turned on the lamp. Turned to the closet. The lamp was off.

@Shelter Eek! I used to get sleep paralysis when I was younger. But I literally could not move while I dreamed a demon was trying to take my soul out of my body… atleast that’s what it seemed like. I tried to scream… nothing. There would be windows blown open, swirling wind going through my room, fun times.
The door was wide open. I reached for the lamp and turned it on again.
My specific sleep paralysis demon shuffled out of the closet. The light wasn't on.
I sat up. It kept coming.
I felt that weight in my arms, realized I was dreaming, yanked myself up and turned on the lamp.
It stayed on and I stayed awake.
I do not recommend.
