In the Before Times when it was safe for me to casually go into places of business I used to check used book stores and thrift shops for used copies of A Christmas Carol. My rule for purchasing was that they had to be written in- especially margin notes. Gift messages were good, too.
After my mom died I found this edition in her things given to my grandmom by her best friend in 1924.
Two more years until its big birthday.

@Shelter My husband hangs out a lot on Amazon, he's even bout plants there. A lot of things are cheaper

There's a lot of stuff that's actually far more expensive, though.

Yes, I only go to the grocery store and to the doctor.
I'm a high risk individual, we have nearly no family left who aren't elderly and sickly, and if anything happens to myself or my husband our kids will become wards of the state.
So it's no longer safe for me.
