@FLPassholder I certainly don’t. The only reason my cousin didn’t go into the Marines is because he hurt his back wrestling.
@Jezibaba Any time! Glad I could help!
@Jezibaba Yeah, it’s similar to stocks especially in the USA because brokers don’t allow margin trading anymore (so you can’t short). The difference is stocks have a lot more fundamental information about the companies. Forex and crypto are driven heavily by the news. The order types are the same as you’d get with stocks or forex.
@Jezibaba Historically “HODL” has been a really good strategy and it may continue to be. But if the bottom falls out it will be very fast. So use a platform where you can set a “stop loss” order and sell automatically if it drops too far. You don’t want to be the one holding the bag after everyone else bails out.
@Jezibaba As a long time Forex and crypto trader and the author of a crypto trading bot I have a couple pieces of advice:
1. Never trade money you can’t afford to lose.
2. Avoid NFTs. They’re all scams.
3. You can make money trading crypto but it’s gambling. Crypto isn’t money (yet).
Dear Friends & New Friends & Possible New Friends,
Can you please take the roughly 5 seconds* extra to add #politics to your posts that relate to *all* things political so that those of us who like to control our intake of negative news can continue to enjoy our time here?
Asking for a friend, and probably other friends here too. 💚
Thanks for your help.

* Yes. I timed myself typing it. Slowly.
@Saorsa Try #CatsOfCoSo and #DogsOfCoSo
@Janet I feel like they'd be happy either way?
@Beerdini I dunno specifically about Roku but with the Comcast remotes they send each button press across the wire to a remote server to be processed, then send the response back. So if there's any lag over the wire then it quickly gets very unresponsive.
@BadKitty New filter on "Cawthorn"? I'm strongly considering it for myself. 🙉
@pagandancer I don't want to take anything away from your comment but I do want to point out that SCOTUS cannot simply disregard constitutional amendments or actual laws. The gigantic problem we have is all of the things that are SCOTUS decisions but were never passed as bills into laws, like Obergefell which legalized gay marriage. It was assumed they would respect their own previous decisions and laws for those things weren't necessary... which imho was incredibly naive.
California just shy of 100% powered by renewables for first time
@michellelollie If you edit the photo and save it in the correct orientation it should work. I've done this both using the edit function on iPhone and the Preview app on OSX.
@ThisNameWasntTaken Don't take it personally. Followers here don't work the same as on the bird site. There's no algorithm to appease. Having more followers doesn't really do anything for you. Your posts still go on the firehose with everyone else's. Focus on conversation instead of broadcasting and you'll do fine.
@SurvivedChaos Looks like a mountain ash? The berries on the trees in my parents yard would start to ferment and get the robins drunk. Then they'd bounce off the windows for a few days until the berries were all gone.
@meganpaasch My kid is 4 and I feel the same.
In case you hadn't realized, the GOP is attempting to set in stone an era of white male supremacy. The GOP crazy base hates multi-culturalism, non-binary sexuality and modernity, especially female equality. They want to turn the clock back, permanently.
The bullshit assertions in the draft SCOTUS opinion on abortion show that SCOTUS is now dominated by justices who are utter originalists intent on ruling that any rights not specifically enumerated in the Constitution should not exist.
