Here's the thing that consistently bothers me about American politics:
The conservative campaigns are unnatural. The rewritten child labor laws are not what conservatives want, it's what a couple of rich people want, and those rich people will lie to get it. Conservative voters are being used to promote the agenda of the wealthy few.

1/2: It is my personal opinion that the sheer colossal volume of not really handgun but of high-powered and magazine- and even belt-fed assault rifles and heavy weapons in the United States is indicative of how deeply psychologically insecure and frightened of not only the government but one another several million Americans are.
