Stick a fork in me, I'm done! Time off from the day job meant home project time at la Casa Bryant, and I'm so tired now from setting up, working, cleaning up, and moving on to the next thing. I think I'll go watch mindless TV now. Hope your weekend was fun!

The Insecure Writer's Support Group is talking tools of the trade for their First Wednesday blog hop today. Me, I'm a Scrivener fan girl. What do you use? Why do you love it? samanthadunawaybryant.blogspot

How do you celebrate when you finish a project or creative endeavor? Do you go big? Give yourself a little treat? Or just move onto the next thing? samanthadunawaybryant.blogspot

Guys! As of last night I finished the novel I’ve been working on for more than two years. It’s the fifth and final novel in my menopausal superheroes series and having never written a series Ender before, I found it a butt kicking task. But I’ve been on a writing retreat and as of last night I have a complete draft. Virtual drinks on me!

I'm on a writing retreat with my critique partners. It's WONDERFUL to ignore all my other responsibilities for a few days and focus soley on my writing. I can taste the end of this book at long last. Gotta say, if you can swing it, a writing retreat is a great creativity booster.

The "big girl" came over today and spent Father's Day with us. Weird to think that this photo was twenty years ago now, the spring we became a family. Time is a weird weird thing.

Got some new flower friends into my garden this weekend. How was yours?

It’s been a very writerly weekend around here: WriteHive panels and a reading, critique group reading, planning for Galaxycon, getting ready for a writing retreat, and—oh yeah—actually writing!

You know, I feel like there has been a lot of things that didn’t kill me up till now. Honestly, I ought to be able to throw cars or something by now.

I was finally well enough to take a walk in the park yesterday. The pollinator garden was humming!

Yesterday was a Covid recovery milestone: I wore shoes. I even went outside, briefly.

Did you guys watch Echo? I did a panel on it for ConTinual. I thought it was a very solid show. Maya's a really good complex character. youtube.com/watch?v=Qu0YTKV7FM

Clearly my Covid quarantine is making me stir crazy because I made a video today introducing my house plants to people. instagram.com/reel/C7fcCUig5P0

So I'm feeling better, but I still have to isolate for at least one more day to try to avoid giving this monster to my husband and kid-still-at-home. Have I mentioned I'm a terrible patient? At least I can handle screentime again.

Well, I am back from my travels. But unfortunately I caught Covid along the way. I’ll be in about this position for a few days.
