#Brexit and all of the problems it brought was enabled by misguided protest votes of people who could not conceive it would actually pass.
Voting for someone with zero chance of winning is just enabling the worst outcome of future elections not mattering.
Be realistic about any changes requiring Constitutional amendments. (If it were up to me I would start over entirely. But it isn't up to me.)
I won't pollute a different thread, that is the sum of my fears for the future of the country. But..
1)Protest votes are stupid when facism is on the ballot
2)The U.S. is a 2-party system because of plurality winner takes all voting and the primary system. But you can't fix it without leaders who believe in democracy.
3)RCV is a way people could vote their conscience without risking something much worse.
4)Only one side of our 2-party system has any interest in voting rights.
I had heard of Bass Reeves for some time from podcasts, even Warchmen beginning, as the inspiration for the Lone Ranger. I knew he was black and set records for the number of captured criminals.
But somehow I was surprised to learn he was a slave to a Confederate officer. The series on Paramount+ begins with slaves being compelled to fight for the Confederacy (or get shot in the back.)

Mask Rant
This isn't an "everybody should still mask" rant or a "masks are stupid" rant. This is a rant about all the people choosing to wear masks yet wear them under their nose or even under their chin!!!
Seriously, WHY?!?
I went to Costco and saw quite a few masks yet NONE were wearing it properly (maybe one with an N-95)!!
If you are concerned enough to wear a mask, then wear it to protect yourself and others over nose and mouth, and it probably should be an N-95 to protect yourself.
Unknown Tracker Alerts. I was today years old when I learned my phone has unknown tracker alerts. So if someone tries to plant a tracker on me or my car and it is separated from it's owner, I get an alert.

When I am benevolent dictator of the world (or U.S.) we will all use Greenwich Mean Time year round.
No more time changes, no more time conversions. We can move working hours for business or school as desired or leave them alone as desired.

It really proposes to take zoning control in favor of business interest. It is corporate farms and ranches, and the Texas Farm Bureau is in their pocket.
Yet 90% of voters will just go with the vibe of this campaign and nothing else. Vote No on Prop 1.
