@danalan @scottronaut5150 Glad you could do that for your son. My buddy is a widower who has few close friends and no local family, so when I found out he needed a ride, I volunteered.

What a friend does:

- Picks you up at 6AM for an outpatient procedure and drives you 60 miles to the clinic.

- Waits four hours for you to be wheeled into recovery after the procedure.

- Is still your friend when you get back home.

This is stuff that matters.

@Jorro There are ways to limit exposure. Even with my minimalist online profile, I assume that all of my personal data is out there in the wild. Setting up two factor authentication is a must on all sensitive accounts anymore. Also consider the use of a VPN for all online activities.

@TomB I'm likely in the same place (time-wise). It doesn't seem, at least at this point, that I have enough remaining trips around the sun to see this BS resolve positively.

@n8evans There are good people left in this world, and your grandniece should be so advised. Several years back, when I served on my local city council, I noted at one meeting that we spent 95% of our time responding to the small minority of malcontents in town. It was exasperating. Now, amp this up by at least 1000X on a state or federal level.

@HawkHorton Had a Dr. friend introduce me to Delat8 as a remedy for irregular sleep. Bam. That was the solution.

@HawkHorton Just popped half a Delta8 indica gummy. The other 1/2 goes down when I lay my head down for the evening. 8 hours sleep, when before I was lucky if I got 2 or 3 before waking up.

@Jax_Wild_4_Life Yes. And then when I had a bit of time to think it over (did I gain anything; were my suggestions given serious consideration?) the answer was NO to all of the above and I took early retirement. Best move I ever made.
