After almost an hour after coffee and cannabis, I am no closer to my next big thing.
The last, preparing the household to move and preparing for a huge salary cut (hers), is done. We will be here for another two years to further fund retirement and lifestyle.
Is optimal health my last and only goal?
Everything else is on adaptive cruise control in the fast lane in an electric vehicle.
I am not comfortable not driving hard on *something*.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN Did you know her cut in wages was imminent? Why ask? Because the massive amount of money you put into that house making your closet pretty, you might shove right across to the federal government in income taxes.
@MidnightRider we were planning on the huge salary cut when she changed jobs, but that's been put off for two years to lead into retirement.
She has reorganized her plans. So the trade off is two more years is stress. As far as income taxes, I have stopped looking at how much we pay.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN Having just gone through this, I now know that what looks like a handsome profit for all the labor you put into your house, is in fact wiped away by the government. That’s why it is even more important that any changes be for personal satisfaction with a long-term view.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN
Hm.
Well, there are lots of things to focus on, if you look around maybe there is another small, medium, or large goal, in addition to health. Maybe having to do with others, or your community.
