"A banana republic is a country with an economy of state capitalism, whereby the country is operated as a private commercial enterprise for the exclusive profit of the ruling class."🤔

Trying to figure out what the difference is between state capitalism and communism. I'm sure there are lots of articles I could read, I will. Eventually. It seems like communism always ends in state capitalism. And you can't grow bananas in Russia. Anyway. Good morning! 💜 ☕

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN
China too:

"What is an example of state capitalism?
People's Republic of China

In this system, governments use various kinds of state-owned companies to manage the exploitation of resources that they consider the state's crown jewels and to create and maintain large numbers of jobs. They use select privately owned companies to dominate certain economic sectors."

So bananas are purely optional! 😁
