STORY.

Teams conference call and as usual I'm on video because I'm a badass.

Every now and then the PM asks about whatever new art piece I'm displaying behind me on the call. (Unless it's an obvious one like the Mona Lisa).

Over 10 years of teleworking, my office is my *studio*.

Yesterday's was "A Girl in White: White GIrl" by Whistler as I'm running a sereies on realism.

Rightt after that a coworker whips out a couple handguns of as examples of Americana (art?)

A few asked about it. I said, "aw, man...you whipped it out in public!"

I'm not troubled by it but some might be. Is brandishing a firearm during a meeting permitted by HR?

I wouldn't mind that much if it was a Teams meeting...but "you whipped it out" is an appropriate response.

I've had a coworker bring a gun to the actual office before and threaten people. He also left it unsecured in his car. Ultimately he was fired and escorted out by security. I was absolutely terrified of that idiot.

Thank God and all the saints and angels, minor deities, elementals, ghosts, spirits and faries for WFH. Phew.
