I have dropped, banged, smacked and thwapped gear endlessly and would NEVER go anywhere without a UV. especially if one is working. My lenses can be over $5k, cost $1500+ to repair. it's worth spending on a good B+W UV- which introduces no color shift. I use fixed shades for the same reason, layering protection.

Yep. My profession, UX, has always been pressured by business leaders to go faster, do less, and give way to visual designers in order to save money, (product failure be damned). Now AI interface design looms very large, despite the fact we are designing for particular groups of humans that machine intelligence cannot really intuit (hell people themselves don't know what they want or what they really think is good). These new professions go poof in less than 30 years.

Digital standardizes humans for its own benefit. Once you have "standardized" within a process in a way that that is acceptable to the digital platform, you are replaceable on the next round, as is the platform itself.

Standardized art taxa "create" imagery. It may be compelling but it can never be "new", We are using glowing AI brains, not subject to them. We are too busy replacing ourselves. Personally, I can't wait for the AI Supreme Court, I am sure it will be fine.
