@Menapmom My only curiosity with Wordle is what those green/yellow boxes represent but honestly, the curiosity isn't great enough to even look
Not much #writing today. Too many other things in the way. I'll be driving so perhaps I'll use text to voice and listen. The downside being that I hear a problem and can do nothing about it, not even take notes.
I'm in an audiobook which is good but states the book title as every 4th word of the story ;-) which has at times, gotten to be a bit much.
Maybe I should put on music and lose my voice by the time I get there...
#writing Writing down this last section is like pulling teeth. Actually, having my teeth pulled had an ending...
So in this alternate timeline, Anakin was honest with the Jedi Council about his relationship with Padme. He was dismissed from the Jedi and moved to the planet Suburbus with Amidala where he becomes a stay-at-home dad to the twins. Then his old boss, Senator Palpatine, shows up because his plans were discovered and he was kicked out of the Senate, so he moves into their basement —
DISNEY EXEC: You’re not my 3 o’clock pitch meeting. How did you get past security?
@Alt_Human This can't possibly be true
I would have said 5-6 years ago...
@mojo_i_am There are a lot of books in the Alliance-Union universe as well and if you like one, chances are you'll like more.

@mojo_i_am You may like C.J. Cherryh's books in the Alliance-Union universe. "Downbelow Station" won a Hugo award in 1982 and is really good. Multigenerational Family ships are typically prominent but the books are about various characters in the universe.
@newbreedleader Ostrich mode in settings gets rid of it and some other noisemaking things
@chaddus Could have been safer, actually. The Greeks and Romans used a tea made from Silphium. The recommendation was a cup monthly as a "contraceptive". It was in such demand that it eventually went extinct and we only know of it through records and drawings. I don't know how much it predates those times though.
No small irony that what is characterized as a genocide was happening all around Jesus, yet he never mentioned it.
@LauraKCurtis I can plow through a rough draft with pen and paper if it's somewhat planned out. Then I have to type it all out again though. Recently I've been using FocusWriter for rough drafts and Scrivener for rewrites, edits and the like.
@awesomejohn Thank you. This is very enlightening.
Thinking on my bad grammaring, I found a list of examples and see that #7 "Misplaced and Dangling Modifiers" are a particular weakness of mine.
I also know that #9 "Overuse of Prepositional Phrases" is something I do though I know it's wrong because on rare occasions, it isn't. Well, for me.
I shall resist further investigations for fear that I will discover just how bad my grammar actually is 😜

#writing I read through a bit of the manuscript and added a little. Minor corrections as well as a small bit with a subplot. This used to get me down, waiting and then wanting to write but putting down so little. Not any more. Getting into the headspace to assemble everything can be tricky. When it comes together though, I'll quickly put down a lot. My method probably makes editing messier though ;-)
Bad grammar bad!
#writing I have a few stories that I'll work on depending on which one I feel at the time. My manuscript has waited for the final section to be finished. After months of simmering, last night I settled into a comfortable track and honestly read through that last part with visions of scenes parading through my head. I feel as if it is finally starting to come together.
@awesomejohn I like this with the added benefit of getting a promotion out of the deal! 🙂
@matthew_l Under CoSo Groups there is a public directory. If you haven't looked, it's a text chat app something like IRC. It kinda looks like they are just getting started

I've been enthralled with sentences containing contradictions. Something like "I probably definitely will." In another I describe a series of increasingly absurd events with an absurd, "and" filled sentence. An increasingly absurd sentence to describe an increasingly absurd series of events. It resonates with me. I'm not sure dropping random sentences of poetry into stories is the best of ideas but when it flows well...
