@TetsuKaba Every rule has its exceptions.
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba - yet to come
Perhaps.
But for now, no exceptions to that rule.
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba - without dropping down to religious myths, I'll give you that one.
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba - also. I may still yet to be immortal until it's proved otherwise.
Yes HAL0, you *may* be immortal.
Which means my rule is still exceptionless.
But on the subject of your possible immortality, can you time travel?
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba - we are all time travelers. Riding the wave of time. Those at higher altitudes travel slower through time than today of us at sea level. Time also slows every so slightly during the day. Or speed up at night... Depending on your POV.
Shit, I was hoping you could go back 6 weeks and convince me not to do the fuckin rodeo.πππ
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba - talk to @jedijester or @TheDoctor
@0x56 @Render @TetsuKaba @jedijester @TheDoctor
Good idea. But will it go smoothly now that I've run my mouth about it so much?ππ
@jedijester @0x56 @Render @TetsuKaba @TheDoctor
Well shit.
Guess I'm stuck with that horrible decision.
General Announcement:
Roze is done with decisions for a while. π
@Irishroze @Render What Iβve learned: everyone suffers and everyone dies
But everyone doesn't suffer all the time, so...that's something...right?
Fuck tryin to be positive for the rest of February. I've used up my supply and now I have to wait. π€·πΌββοΈπ€¨
@Irishroze @Render True. And being there for each other is the point.
Someone called for me? π
@Heucuva8 @Render @TetsuKaba
Nah, just me being whiny cuz I made a bad business decision and now I've got toffee everywhere including my dreams.
And not in a good way.π
Toffee? How can Toffee be a bad thing...unless you're diabetic?
What's the sitch? π₯Ίπ
I make toffee.
Decided to be a vendor at a rodeo due to the secretary in charge of it telling us how great we'd do.
*Maybe* sold enough to cover the booth rental. Maybe.
Now I've got a shit-ton of toffee to...do something with.
*sigh*
@Irishroze @Render @TetsuKaba Ah. Well...why didn't it sell better? That's the first place to start. Was it the location? Was it the marketing? What made people not buy as much as was planned for? π€
1. This was the first time we did anything like this. We are used to the customer coming to us.
2. I planned for that instead of realizing that we'd be a virtual unknown in that space.
3. We prefer not to be pushy, and to attract the customers you've got to be a bit pushy.
4. Wrong crowd.
5. Wrong venue.
@Irishroze My Dad loved Toffee when he was a little older. Hand out a little and see if you get any orders.
@MisterE @Heucuva8 @Render @TetsuKaba
One thing we thought of doing is going to the old folks homes and giving some to them. Ours doesn't stick to their teeth so they love it.
@Irishroze That's what I was leaning toward for the older folks.
Kids like candy. Cub Scouts, church events. You can talk with parents and get some face-to-face time with parents. The parents might like to sample a piece or two.
@Irishroze Do you have a national supermarket chain store near you?
@MisterE @Heucuva8 @Render @TetsuKaba
Our kitchen isn't licensed. They "don't take unlicensed products".
And we have to be careful about quantity. We don't want to overwhelm ourselves with orders and not be able to fill them in the future, ya know what I mean? Or am I talking nonsense again?π
@Irishroze No, these are good thoughts. I was thinking about a short-term shelf placement, but as you say, licensing means a lot, I guess.
Walgreens or CVS ?
I'll keep thinking....
@MisterE @Heucuva8 @Render @TetsuKaba
Thanks.
We've also talked about giving some to the local police and fire departments. Never hurts to have them happy with us, ya know?
@Irishroze Good idea. Good community relations go both ways.
@Irishroze
Find a small batch icecream maker and sell to them? Toffee icecream is the best icecream.
@Render of course, most psych patients arenβt sociopaths or narcissists. Neither of those groups believe thereβs anything wrong with them.
