Begging please for a light mode.

Dark Mode causes me eye discomfort, lingering after images and, if continued long enough, headaches.

I'd really like a nice, plain, black text on a white background,, like in books, every book ever.

TIA

can't you set that up in your browser preferences?

Chrome on Win 10, I've augured into preferences, tried extensions, googled for solutions.
No solution(s) found on the topic.

Chrome on WIN 10.
I just found an extension that works.
"Decreased Productivity".
The default image opacity setting effectively hides all images, so crank that to the max if you want to see images. Choose any colors you like, there are several presets.
