@SunAcrossWater We are no better off financially as individuals or as an economy. We are experiencing the greatest hike in the cost of living in years. Our social services are on the bare bones of their backsides. The place is a mess.
@SunAcrossWater it was about a government convincing it’s poorest that the money it was paying to the EU could be better spent improving communities and services at home. It was a lie. It was about a government manipulating its population believe immigration was the cause of all of its problems. That too was a lie. It was about a government wishing to remove itself from the justices and scrutiny of the European Court. That is true. Too many believed the propaganda they were fed and here we are.
@corlin at the moment I am using the iOS app. I really need to check out the browser version of the site on my computer though. I bet there are loads of features and stuff I don’t know about yet.

Going through some old pics.
I took this one during Canada Days celebration fireworks I think around 2008. The timing was impeccable. Lightning is very rare around here. The little smudge of light to the left of the main shaft is a BC Ferry. Wonder what the view was like from there?

@MLClark I’m a bit jealous. I wish we had decent storms here in the UK. Where I am they are few and far between and when they do arrive they aren’t around for long.

So much has happened since I was here last. I quit that toxic job, found out I was pregnant, suffered immensely with a kidney stone, miscarried, got engaged and bought a house. We’re still waiting for the house to complete which is driving us all crazy but I can’t get my head around how so much has happened in such a short space of time!
@MotherDucker one thing being a parent teaches you, you got to know when to choose your battles. This my dear is safely a win for you.
