I don't mind when somebody says "Merry Christmas" to me. But when I say, "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" or "Blessed Yule" or "Blessed Solstice" to someone, some people lose their fucking minds & start playing the victim.

If I say, "Blessed Chanukah" to a Jewish friend, or "Blessed Kwanza" to an African friend, or "Happy Solstice" to an Atheist friend, Fundies get up in my face about it.

Next one that does it is getting bitch-slapped. There is no War on Christmas. Turn off FUX News!

@RavenCutrereULC it's like "reverse racism". It cannot exist because racism is based on a power differential, both real and perceived. A person of color who rises to a position of power and who wishes to lord that power over other people, especially caucasians, is still checked by racism every day.

@RavenCutrereULC When I was growing up, eons ago, using “Happy Holidays!” or “Season’s greetings” was common sense as it respected everyone’s way of celebrating an event at this time of year. Can’t believe the way people get upset and turn themselves into victims over this. 🙄
